Jayadevan, born in India and settled in Toronto Canada hails from a family of artists, is the grand son of late Abhayadev, a well-known name both in Malayalam films and literary fields and the recipient of J.C Daniel Award for his lifetime contribution to Malayalam Cinema.

Jayadevan's father is Aravindan, Rtd. Deputy Director (Public Relations) Rubber Board and a known journalist working with The Hindu Business Line. Smt Kamalamma Aravindan is mother.

Ambilikuttan, Singer and Music Composer (Principal, Indian Institute for Performing Arts, Bahrain ) is the elder brother and Smt. Jyothi Vinod Chandran ( Dubai ), the only sister.  

Married to Urmila, daughter of Dr.K.N.Raman Nair (Rtd. Civil Surgeon) and Smt Omana Raman Nair. Dr. Raman Nair who is also a humanist finds time for the welfare of hapless and old people even amidst his busy schedules as a leading medical practitioner at Trivandrum ( Kerala , India )  

Only daughter Maneesha (Ammu) is a fifth standard student.  Maneesha follows her father's tradition in violin.

She is also a student in Indian classical dance.  

 

Apart from Violin, Jayadevan's Academic pursuits include a post graduation ( Mahatma Gandhi University , Kerala , India ) and Degree and Diplomas in various disciplines of Computer technology from reputed Institutions including IBM.

As a student of CMS College , Kottayam and NSS College Changanacherry ( Kerala , India ) for higher studies, he was popular among students as a performer and the winner of so many awards in University Youth Festivals etc..  

Later he assumed charge as the Managing Director of National Institute of Computer Technology, Kottayam, Kerala, which position he continued for five years till he left for his overseas assignment as a computer professional. Jayadevan landed Canada in 2001.  

Since then, he has been relentlessly striving for popularizing Indian Culture, Art and Music in Canada . Considering his achievements, the Indian Consul General of Toronto has nominated him as one of the Directors to the Indian Panorama since 2004. He is one of the founder members and Director of SAACO (South Asian Arts and Cultural Organization). Also Founder of SARIGA ( Canadian School for Indian Music), Sariga Arts and Sariga Creations.
